Many do not know this but in THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES 10:1 to 11:18 Peter is called to go into the house of a gentile which was something that at that time would have made him unclean. Before he got that invitation he had a vision in which it was made clear to him he was to call no man common or unclean.

When he goes into the house of the gentile Cornelius everyone receives the gift of the Holy Spirit BEFORE they have been baptized as Christians. Peter then states, “I see that God is not a respecter of person but that in all lands those who love God and do good are loved by God.” In short Peter states we do not have to become a Christian to be saved. This is not my interpretation alone.

In INVITATION TO ACTS, a commentary on the Acts Of The Apostles by Robert J. Karris we are given the statement at the end of this passage, “God saves Hindus and Buddhists who do not believe in Jesus.”

While some Protestants may (and do) disagree those who do so place limits on the grace of God which, itself, is limitless. Ditto those “Christians” who say God hates homosexuals. God does not hate anyone though it is clear they do and thus are far from God. Additionally, Jews do not have to accept Jesus to be saved. Jews are under the old covenant which is eternal. It is time more folk who think themselves of the new covenant understood this.

It is interesting that the two prevailing web theories of the identity of the Anti-Christ state he is either Pope Francis or Barack Obama. Both reflect the bigotry of those who hold those views.

The web is filled to the brim with opinions. What it lacks are informed opinions. It helps to know that while priests and ministers constantly tell us we are sinners Jesus was faulted for hanging out with “sinners.” I’m sure that in that group there were more than one or two people who would today be called homosexuals.

The only people Jesus called sinners were priests. The Jewish state being a theocracy, the priests were the politicians.

Jews who know their history know that the priests of Jesus’ day were unbelievably corrupt. The only thing that changes with time are the clothes.…/priestly-quarter-of-ancient…, .

When asked by someone to be their teacher Jesus stated, “You have one teacher, GOD.”

John, in his first letter states, “You need not that any man should teach you.”

It takes faith to accept these statements.

We have too many, far too many, people teaching what we should be learning from God alone.

“He who without the Muse’s madness in his soul comes knocking at the door of poesy and thinks that art will make him anything fit to be called a poet, finds that the poetry which he indites in his sober senses is beaten hollow by the poetry of madmen.”–Plato.

“Most teachers say you should go to school to get your degree to have something to fall back on. Aside from being a huge lie, that also creates a very high level of mediocrity, because nobody who really believes that is going to take the leap of faith required to be a serious artist. Stay out of school.”–Ellis Marsalis to his sons Branford, Delfeayo and Wynton.

“It is, in fact, nothing short of a miracle that the modern methods of instruction have not entirely strangled the holy curiosity of inquiry; for this delicate little plant, aside from stimulation, stands mainly in need of freedom; without this it goes to wrack and ruin without fail. It is a very great mistake to think that the enjoyment of seeing and searching can be promoted by means of coercion and a sense of duty. Stay out of school.”—Albert Einstein.

“My schooling not only failed to teach me what it professed to be teaching, but prevented me from being educated to an extent which infuriates me when I think of all I might have learned at home by myself.”–George Bernard Shaw.

“Men are born ignorant, not stupid. They are made stupid by education.”–Bertrand Russell.

“School is an institution built on the axiom that learning is the result of teaching. And institutional wisdom continues to accept this axiom, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.”–Ivan Illich.

Ananias appointed his five sons and his son-in-law Caiaphas as puppet High Priests so that each would receive the lifetime pension the office provided. Normally only one living high priest was appointed.
