CEB

The fact that you have lawsuits against each other means that you’ve already lost your case. Why not be wronged instead? Why not be cheated?

Now therefore, there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one against another. Why do ye not rather accept wrong? Why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
I asked a fellow I spoke with this week what faith he’d been brought up in. He said, “Catholic.”
I said, “You should understand this then, ‘Why do you got to court one against the other? Why don’t you let yourself be wronged?’ I do my best to live that.”
He said, “I wear two hats.”
I wear one hat.
I don’t go to church. When I did I usually got shown the door.
The hat I wear was given to me by my friend Stedmond Pardy.
People are always complimenting me on it.
Funny thing about the hat I wear is that it always gets me in trouble.
The hat Socrates wore got him in trouble to.
That’s the thing about the right hat. It always gets us in trouble.
Well, trouble is what we are here for.

Was any man more wronged than Jesus? How can I not follow his lead?
