In 1968 I read THE I CHING for the first time. It teaches the superior person forgives both the conscious and unconscious misdeeds of others upon our person before they happen.

I came to know this forgiveness does nothing for those we forgive while at the same time it does everything for us.

What does it do for me personally? It keeps me from falling into the bottomless pit of the desire for revenge.

Sammy Yatim’s death should not have happened.
