Now more than ever everyone needs an inoculation against mass media manipulation. Advises Nassim Nicholas Taleb in THE BLACK SWAN, “Stop reading newspapers.” I’m with him.

I have a strong feeling many who call themselves Christians will find themselves on the left hand of God while many who say they are not, like atheist, communist Luis Olivari, will find themselves on the right. I don’t waste time in churches. My community is the streTHE SUPREME COURT OF CANADA has recognized the right of artists and educators to access child pornography for research purposes provided our use of it is not harmful to persons under 16.

THE SUPREME COURT OF CANADA has recognized the right of artists and educators to access child pornography for research purposes and for our work provided our use of it is not harmful to persons under 16.

My work is recognized around the world for its merit: .

Even if I was not recognized for the merits of my work the law ensures that even artists judged incompetent have that right.

That is because those seen today as incompetent are often seen tomorrow as right.

No one who knew Maude Lewis thought she was anything more than a crazy lady.

I stood up for the rights of every artist and educator in Canada.

At the same time not one artist and/or educator stood up for me.

That’s fine.

One standing alone with truth is a majority.

About those child porn stories published in THE TORONTO SUN, in THE TORONTO STAR and on the web…

There was a publication ban.

It was ignored.

Much is ignored these days.

It helps to know the law which most people, especially journalists eager to use yellow journalism to sell papers, generally do not: .

Said Jane Jacobs about THE TORONTO STAR, “I hate that paper.”

“A great artist lets himself go. He is natural. He swims easily in the stream of his own temperament. He listens to himself, he respects himself. He has a deeper fund of strength to draw from than that arising from rational and logical knowledge.

“The function of the artist is to disturb. His duty is to arouse the sleeper to shake the complacent killers of the world. He reminds the world of its dark ancestry, shows the world its present and points the way to its new birth.  He is at once the product and the preceptor of his time….In a world terrified of change, he preaches revolution – the principle of life.  He is an agitator, a disturber of the peace, quick, impatient, positive, restless and disquieting.  He is the creative spirit of life working in the soul of men.”—Dr. Norman Bethune

That has been since before I read it my definition of the role of the artist.

When I look at Bethune’s definition I see that it matches perfectly the definition of a Hebrew prophet.

These men were not found around the court of power. That was the place for false prophets who told power what power wanted to hear.

True prophets told power what power NEEDS to hear, which, in the main is that power is held by lying sacks of feces.

In stating, “He reminds the world of its dark ancestry, shows the world its present and points the way to its new birth,” Bethune is defining the artist as Christ for that new birth means to be born again.

THE I CHING, which I have been studying since 1968, teaches that before a man’s name can become great it must first be destroyed. My name has been destroyed. It is becoming great.

Over the last twenty years people have posted flyers around Toronto designed to get myself and ex-employees of the man responsible for them murdered.

“In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”–Martin Luther King, Jr.

No one who remains silent is our friend. Nor are they their friend realy.

They are gutless. They are also legion. That means there is a whole, helluva lot of them.

“Someone ought to do it, but why should I? Someone ought to do it, so why not I? Between these two sentences lie whole centuries of moral evolution.”― Annie Besant.

Margaret Meade wrote, “Never underestimate the power of one person to change the world for the better as all too often that is all that does it.”

It is a matter of public record that I am one person who has had one helluva impact on this world for the better.

As for those who see and do nothing, well, they are nothing.

Nothing they say or do will ever matter.

The Crown who turned her back on my record, who chose to listen to a man who has done and who continues to do harm to myself and others, that person is one in a long line of advocates which goes back to Athens and Socrates.

In fact, when the state decides to murder a man they always charge him with harming the youth.

Whether we accept Jesus as God (I do) or not one thing remains true: he was illegally tried before a kangaroo court by the biggest bunch of crooks in the history of Judaism:    . That trial remains a stain no bleach can remove.

In her pivotal book THE DEATH AND LIFE OF GREAT AMERICAN CITIES Jane Jacobs, my friend and mentor, writes that when all else fails and cities are determined to destroy those who stand up to them they arrange a sex scandal.

The police did not find on my computers and hard drives nor on any of the computers and hard drives the file they alleged was downloaded to my web address.

I have no doubt that file was downloaded.

The police were surprised not to find it.

For twenty years I have sustained daily vicious attacks meant to get me murdered.

Despite knowing what is going on and seeing what is going on most have done nothing.

Meanwhile the Crown and the Court have turned as blind an eye towards myself as Caiaphas turned towards Jesus, as most of Athens turned against Socrates.

The title of Jane Jacobs’ last book is DARK AGE AHEAD.

As we watch a world falling to pieces because the people responsible were asleep at the switch it is clear her book was aptly titled.

This age is dark. It is going to get darker. It is going to get so dark you won’t be able to see your hand in front of your face.

Am I worried?

Not in the least.

My house is built on rock.

I have posted this before. I post it again:

Over the years I have brought many who were hungry, thirsty, homeless, naked, sick, jailbirds and strangers into my home.

“You are the only man in this city who stands up,” said Ed Keenan, one of the very few journalists in this country who personify the best a journalist can be.

Einstein, Martin Luther King, Jr. and too many others learned that when voices most need to be heard most remain silent.

That just serves to underline the importance of the few who stand up.

I am proud to be part of that worthy few.

No one can say, “You saw me naked and did nothing.”

I was damn near crushed for it but I spoke up.

I see Jesus in those this world passes by.

I am one this world has passed by.

Jane Jacobs by example taught the importance of standing up.

It has been said Reg Hartt is everything Jane Jacobs wrote about.

What most who study her book THE DEATH AND LIFE OF GREAT AMERICAN CITIES  fail to realize is that it is written from the perspective of the dirt poor.

Ditto Christianity.

Jesus of Nazareth was a dirt poor construction worker from the boonies who dropped his aitches when he spoke. He was judged a criminal.

THE I CHING, which I began studying in 1968, teaches that while inferior men ride in carriages the superior man walks among the dirt poor.

Our justice system today in its treatment of the poor is more corrupt than the kangaroo court Jesus was dragged illegally before in Jerusalem. Our judges put Caiaphas to shame.

The only thing that changes is the clothes.

Nonetheless we are called to forgive those who harm us.

I do.

Peter and Paul were judged criminals. Peter was crucified (upside down as he said, “I do not deserve to be crucified right side up.”). Paul was beheaded. Both taught, “All things work to the good for those who love The Lord.”

I have learned that they do.

The only honorable place to be found is among those this world condemns.
