I am receiving hate phone calls from 437-220-9634.  437-220 is used by scam callers:     .

Posters are going up around Toronto that are meant to do me harm. I have written about this before. Canada’s national newspaper, THE GLOBE AND MAIL, has written about it.

In 2017 the man posting this material was arrested and charged with criminal harassment. His name is James Gillis. He operates a street postering business under various names. In the operation of this business he ignores completely the City of Toronto’s Street Postering Bylaws. Normally if someone ignores the City of Toronto’s Bylaws they are quickly brought to bear. God forbid you should build a tree-house in your backyard for your kids. I support the street poster bylaws. They are extremely well thought out. They are eminently fair. For some reason Metro Licensing And Standards is turning a blind eye to this.

This is a shame.

Street Postering, in THE RAMSDEN DECISION ( , , ) was defended as Freedom Of Speech solely for people without access to mainstream media. People who use magazines, newspapers, radio, television to advertise do not have the right to street poster. THE SUPREME COURT OF CANADA did not defend street postering as a business.

Currently (and for considerable time) street posters have gone up and are going up saying that I am facing charges related to the production and distribution of child pornography.

Those charges were withdrawn. The police did raid my home. They did seize computers and hard drives. The Crown informed that a thorough forensic search of the computers and hard drives taken from this house showed no evidence related to the production and distribution of child pornography.

It is true that a file was downloaded to my IP address. It is also true that on the date that file was downloaded a man who came to a presentation here asked to access the web to check his facebook.

This has been the most trying period of my 75 years. It continues to be.

In the latest message from 437-220-9634 I am asked to recall how deviants were punished in the 16th century.

In the 16th century (and up until recently) people who were left-handed, club footed, whose eyebrows met over their nose, who had one brown and one blue eye, who were homosexual or lesbian or who in any way differed from the norm (stuttered, spoke with a lisp) were seen as deviant. If poor they were burned alive. If rich they paid huge fines. The whole thing was basically a scam to bleed the rich. Like many such scams it bore the mask of religion as my anonymous caller does.

Albert Einstein stated The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.

He stated that because he learned what I have learned. The people who should act refuse to.

This is why this abuse of the right the Supreme Court defended continues.

This is why the persons abusing the right of street postering guaranteed by the Supreme Court of Canada continue.

“Someone ought to do it, but why should I? Someone ought to do it, so why not I? Between these two sentences lie whole centuries of moral evolution.” ― Annie Besant

I learned a lot from the trials of the last few years. I am grateful for what I have learned.

Henry Miller wrote, in AN OPEN LETTER TO SURREALISTS EVERYWHERE, “…When at last each man realizes that nothing is to be expected from God, or society, or friends, or benevolent tyrants, or democratic governments, or saints, or saviours, or even that holiest of holies, education, when each man realizes that he must work with his own hands to save himself, and that we need expect no mercy, perhaps then…Perhaps! Even then, seeing what manner of men we are, I doubt. The point is that we are doomed…No God is coming to save us. No system of government, no belief will provide us with that liberty and justice which men whistle for with the death-rattle….What distinguishes the majority of men from the few is their inability to act according to their beliefs. The hero is he who raises himself above the crowd…To get men to rally round a cause, a belief, an idea, is always easier that to persuade them to live their own lives.

“The role the artist plays in society is to revive the primitive, anarchic instincts which have been sacrificed for the illusion of living in comfort…

‘”I came not to bring peace, but a sword!’ said the great humanitarian. That is not the utterance of a militarist, nor is it the utterance of a pacifist; it is the utterance of one of the greatest artists who ever lived. If his words mean anything they mean that the struggle for life, for more life, must be carried on day by day. It means that life itself is struggle, perpetual struggle. This sounds almost banal, and in fact it has become banal, thanks to the frog-like perspective of Darwin…

“For my part, I will say that whatever else I may want, I know I don’t want work. To live as an artist I stopped work some ten or twelve years ago…Naturally I was not paid to stop work and live as an artist…if one chooses to live his life in his own way he must pay the penalty…I need no leader and no god. I am my own leader and my own god. I make my own bibles. I believe in myself-that is my whole credo.”

There you have it. Nothing is to be expected of our elected officials, nothing is to be expected from anyone.

We’re on our own.

I’m on my own.

Am I up to it?

Yes, I am.

I’m not going to ask you to help. The best do not need to be asked. Those we ask have the excuse on their lips as we walk thorough the door.

I’m standing up for Freedom of Speech for the poor. Nothing is more important except the right to live our lives as we choose.–Reg Hartt 416-603-6643.

P.S. Call 437-220-9634 and leave this hater a message.

As for religion: the Hebrew term śāṭān (Hebrew: שָׂטָן) is a generic noun meaning “accuser” or “adversary”, and is derived from a verb meaning primarily “to obstruct, oppose”.

Satan (n.) proper name of the supreme evil spirit and great adversary of humanity in Christianity, Old English Satan, from Late Latin Satan (in Vulgate in the Old Testament only), from Greek Satanas, from Hebrew satan “adversary, one who plots against another,” from satan “to show enmity to, oppose, plot against,” from root s-t-n “one who opposes, obstructs, or acts as an adversary.”In the Septuagint usually translated into Greek as diabolos “slanderer,” literally “one who throws (something) across” the path of another (see devil (n.)), though epiboulos “plotter” is once used.

In biblical sources the Hebrew term the satan describes an adversarial role. It is not the name of a particular character. Although Hebrew storytellers as early as the sixth century B.C.E. occasionally introduced a supernatural character whom they called the satan, what they meant was any one of the angels sent by God for the specific purpose of blocking or obstructing human activity. [Elaine Pagels, “The Origin of Satan,” 1995]
