“Reg Hartt has had an amazing impact given the size of the venue and the esoteric nature of the programming. He’s had an incredible impact on the city. No one else is doing it. No one else has ever done it.”–Rob Salem.

The fault is not with WIZ. He is a supremely decent person.–Reg Hartt
A true dog story that starts in Toronto, ends in Hay-on-Wye in Wales and which taught me that dogs share a consciousness and we do too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkL8RSDkIMo&t=8s .
The only time the idea of Heaven made any sense to me was after I read the Mahabharata when Yudhishthira walks away from Heaven after being told the old, mangy, one foot in the grave dog that had joined me could not come in as dogs were not allowed. He said, “I am not about to turn my back on anything no matter how small which places its trust in me.” For that reason my cats, dogs and friends come first in my life. My cats know this. When told he can bring the dog in he finds Heaven filled with his enemies (who are the villains of the story). He asks, “Where are my friends?” He is told, “In Hell.” He replies, “I’d rather be in Hell with my friends than in Heaven with my enemies.”
I thought of Yudhishthira this week when I learned that a fellow who came to me homeless and found a life here has had all references to his time here and his association with myself removed from the web. It’s easy to understand why. For decades I have been the target of a withering attack meant to destroy me. Nonetheless, like Essau, this fellow sold his birthright for a bowl of soup.
It has not. It won’t.
Not everyone is on the side of the hero in the Mahabharata . Most everyone actually is on the side of the villains who are wealthy and powerful: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahabharata .
Aditya Shankar came to a screening. He asked, “Can I live with you?” He fought the battle between LGBTQ people and religious bigotry in India from my Toronto home.
The Kauravas engage in a dice game with the Pandavas. The dice are loaded. Yudhishthira and the Pandavas allow themselves to be cheated in the vain hope the Kauravas will have a change of heart for the better. Of course, the Pandavas lose everything.
In the great battle between those forces which is the climax of the story Krishna says to both opponents, “You can have me or you can have my armies. You can’t have both. If you choose me I will not fight for you.”
Arjuna, leader of the Pandavas, says to Krishna, “If we have your armies we don’t need you.”
Yudhishthira says to Krishna, “If I have you I do not need your armies. I can fight my own battles”
Krishna replies, “Then I will be your charioteer.”
Yudhishthira emerges the victor.
This story is particularly relevant because that battle is being fought today.
That battle is always being fought.
Most choose the losing side.
I long ago chose the side of the victor.
I’m with Yudhishthira.
Krishna is my charioteer.

The conquering weapon of all faiths, not Christianity alone, is love. “Three things are important,” wrote Paul, “Faith, hope and love. The greatest of these is love.”

Look behind The Punisher. You will see posters for Reg Hartt’s events. Reg Hartt is part of the Marvel Universe.

Al Aronowitz was a friend of Reg Hartt. They met by chance. Al had fallen down deep. Reg Hartt lifted him up. Said Al, “Reg Hartt opened a door no one else would.”

THE FOOL, while is is numbered zero, is the highest valued card in The Tarot. Why is it numbered zero? Because a man who trusts in himself is seen by the world as a fool. Reg Hartt trusts in himself. You should trust in yourself. If you do not who else will? This is perhaps the earliest version of the card. Later versions cover up the genitals. They look nice but lack the power of this card.

Jane Jacobs remains the most important voice in the world on cities. The world listened to her. She listened to Reg Hartt.
