Just watched MISS SADIE THOMPSON from Twilight Time’s 3D Blu-ray. For decades I envied folks who lived in or near cities which regularly ran festivals of 3D films. Digital 3D allowed me to finally see these pictures. Last I watched it for the first time with my new Optoma 3D projector with 4500 Lumens. More light means more detail.

This time the moment José Ferrer (whom I did not know was Puerto Rican) as Alfred Davidson sees Rita Hayworth as Sadie pure lust manifests on his face. It’s only a fraction of a second however it’s there. His character has never faced before something he is powerless to control.

Because 3D captures more than 2D can it is a much better system for serious film makers to explore.

Each time I watch this film I am more and more impressed by how much we lost because the industry balked at embracing 3D.

These are trade ads and posters for MISS SADIE THOMPSON.
