Who says we can’t use science to study faith?
I have been using it for decades.
Welcoming strangers, helping the homeless, feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty..that is Faith.
Parking yer ass in a church is not Faith.

When a journalist asked the City of Toronto what is different about inviting people to his home and what Reg Hartt is doing the journalist was told, “Reg Hartt is inviting strangers–people he may not know–into his home.”
Matthew 25:31-46 English Standard Version
The Final Judgment
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,[a] you did it to me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

In the late 1980s one of the people living with me said, “I have a friend who is homeless. Can we help him?”
I said, “Of course.” This is him today: https://www.brucesimpson.tv/achievements.htm .
One day out posting flyers around Toronto I ran into an old friend from Rochdale, Bobby Naismith. As we walked I learned Bobby was homeless. “Come with me,” I said. “I have no money,” said Bobby. I said, “I know.” Bobby went onto do an amazing performance of KRAPP’S LAST TAPE at Theatre Passe Muraille.
“I’d like to live here,” said a young man from India. I’d love to have you here. His name was Aditya Shankar. When the feces hit the fan in India over Queers and Religion Adi led the fight from our home in Toronto.
“I’m homeless. Have you got room for me,” emailed a young man I had met just three days before.
WizTheMC came to Toronto and felt something different. His story is amazing, and his music is even better.
Wiz was born in Cape Town, South Africa and moved to Germany with his mother and brother when he was 12 years old. In 2017, he took a spontaneous and risky trip to Toronto. He met great people and allowed his dreams to guide him. His STORY is great, and he tells it best.
After deciding to pursue music full time, Wiz has credited Reg Hartt and Toronto for giving him a platform to work on and pursue music. https://sidedoormag.com/blog/2020/2/9/2020-2-9-wizthemc-found-the-one-1/ .
Here is the very first concert WIZTHEMC gave. I filmed it in 3D. Use red and blue glasses: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmMrakJeCgk
“Can I live here when the tour’s done?” asked a young man touring with Disney on Ice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkoNCMH6aNY .
“Would you like to work with me?” I said to a young man. He said, “I was just about to ask if I could.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sfsGzV7S5I , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxpnkWjpzpo .
“I’m going back to where my family is. I have no future here,” said Rene Highway. I said, “You are the best male dancer in Canada, probably in the world. You gotta stay here.” Said Rene, “Can I live with you?” What a wonderful two years that was. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ren%C3%A9_Highway .
“This is just like Cinema 16 in New York,” a woman said in 1968 when she same to my venue THE PUBLIC ENEMY. We became friends for life. Her kids say, “Our mother loved you.” I say, “I love your mother.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YonLUG7gRyY
