Around 2012 I decided to show NOSFERATU (1922) to the music of RADIOHEAD.
I chose not to jazz up the picture to make it more acceptable to modern audiences.
I hate it when people do that.
To me that is like adding blue to The Mona Lisa.
No, the challenge for me was to present the picture EXACTLY as it was when first shown.
I thought I’d d show the program a few times.
Instead it has become one of my most requested.
There is another version of NOSFERATU to RADIOHEAD floating around.
This one does everything I chose not to.
Go see it by all means.
Then come see NOSFERATU as F. W. Murnau, one of the greatest film makers ever, meant us to experience it.
