HONDO (1953) deserves a state of the art 3D FILM ARCHIVE 3D Blu-ray release.
When the picture was first released on Blu-ray I understand Paramount was against releasing a 3D version of the film.
That was, ironically, for the best.
Why?
Because THE 3D FILM ARCHIVE was not then actively restoring classic 3D motion pictures.
Today they are. They have been for several years. I have been a supporter every step of the way.
I suggest, in fact, I pray that you will contact them for a 3D restoration of HONDO.
Along the way they will correct any errors of alignment as well as everything else that can keep this film from looking perfect.
They will give HONDO the treatment the legacy of John Wayne deserves.
They will do your family proud.
My motives are entirely selfish. I am one among the many who want to experience HONDO as it was designed to be experienced.
Heck, us 3D FILM ARCHIVE supporters are so ardent we help raise the funds to restore these films.
We put our money where our mouth is.
That’s a John Wayne quality.
Please give us a 3D Blu-ray HONDO.
Push comes to shove we will help raise the funds to make it happen through THE 3D FILM ARCHIVE.
John Wayne and HONDO deserve the best. THE 3D FILM ARCHIVE is it.
