Every family has at least one person, regardless of skin shade, who has attitudes we all would do better off without.

From what I gather a remark was made by one person before the wedding about the skin shade of the children. That remark we are told was not made by the Queen nor Prince Philip.

It is now being stated by much of the media that remark came from the Royal family during the pregnancy or after the child’s birth. This is gossip. This callous and deliberate mucking up of fact is yellow journalism at its worst. It is seems to be the pattern of the media. Going way back to the 1920s William Randolph Hearst said of Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle, “He was a friend. I knew he was innocent. But we sold more papers over than than anything else.”

Life demands sacrifice. We  must all eat to continue. Some of us choose only to eat plants as if that mitigates the truth.

The media feeds on lives. The more lives it destroys the fatter it gets.

From where I see it The Queen and the Royal family are handling with extreme grace a very trying and difficult situation. For what it is worth they have my support.

In 2012 I became the target of a vicious smear campaign which continues to this moment. I shut down for three days, thought the thing through and realized I had no choice but to stand up to it. A friend sent me the Duke Of Wellington’s response when he was threatened with blackmail. He said, “Publish and be damned.”

That is the best response. It is the only response.

The Queen has weathered many storms. She will weather this one. When he succeeds her Charles will be a better man and a better king for the fires he is now passing through.

God save The Queen and the future king.
