My first job in my teens was cutting chickens with a bandsaw for J. J. Hilsinger in Sault. Ste. Marie, Ontario.
I cut thousands of them.
Eventually I was made a cook.
I know how these things should look.
I know how they should taste.
The last time I ordered KFC the experience terrible.
The portions were cut wrong. The taste was not there.
Today I stopped at an outlet in Toronto. I got two Tuesday specials (thigh and drum)
The thighs are one third the size they should be.
We get the backbone and a barely perceptible piece of meat so grease drenched the flavour of the eleven herbs and spices does not exist.
As for the drumsticks the less said the better.
The taste was foul.
Popeye’s Chicken is cut the way KFC should be cut.
Popeye’s does not have the KFC taste but today KFC does not have it either.
Popeye’s Chicken does taste way better than KFC.
A fellow had brought his kids to turn them on to the treat of his youth.
He had to fight to get his $70.00 in change plus free straws.
Neither he nor his kids will be returning.
Whomever now owns KFC is killing it.
