I read about this movie in FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND when I was 15.
The theatre that showed it was in a town 16 miles away. A buddy joined me on the trek to see it.
Getting home after was a trip and a half as we had hitchhiked but, boy, it was worth it.

Director Mario Bava began as a photographer. He rephotographed this. He really used depth which means that in 3D it is a real treat.
The picture made an international star out of Barbara Steele.
