Mae West was paid $5,000.00 a week to guest star in NIGHT AFTER NIGHT (1932). The film’s star, George Raft, was paid $125.00 a week.
Paramount Pictures, the studio that produced the film, was facing bankruptcy.
THE MOTION PICTURE CODE OF CENSORS and THE CATHOLIC LEGION OF DECENCY were determined to keep Mae West off the screen.
