This is the time of the assassins.

It has always been the time of the assassins.

We have moments when it feels it is not.

Those moments are only deceptions.

“A genius looking for work is one of the saddest sights in the world. He fits in nowhere, nobody wants him.He is maladapted, says the world. With that the doors are rudely slammed in his face. But is there no place for him, then? Oh yes, there is always room at the very bottom. Have you never seen him at the waterfront loading sacks of coffee or some other ‘necessary’ commodity?  Have you not observed how well he washes dishes in the kitchen of a filthy restaurant? Have you not seen him lugging bags and valises at the railway station?”–Henry Miller, THE TIME OF THE ASSASSINS.

“I would be your Ganymede,” a younger man said.

I looked at him. He was a little long in the tooth to be Ganymede though I am certainly old enough to be Zeus.

I accepted this youngman as my catamite.

“In ancient Greece and Rome, a catamite (Latin: catamītus) was a pubescent boy who was the intimate companion of an older male, usually in a pederastic relationship.[1] It was generally a term of affection and literally means “Ganymede” in Latin, but it was also used as a term of insult when directed toward a grown man.[2] The word derives from the proper noun Catamitus, the Latinized form of Ganymede, the name of the beautiful Trojan youth abducted by Zeus to be his companion and cupbearer, according to Greek mythology.[3] The Etruscan form of the name was Catmite, from an alternative Greek form of the name, Gadymedes.[4]   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catamite

It is he who gave me this copy of THE TIME OF THE ASSASSINS. He is a superb cup-bearer.

Yes, everything we are taught is false.

Rimbaud, of course, would be arrested in our day. He certainly was in his.

The same for Paul Verlaine the much older man (old enough to be his father) he wrenched from the bed of his wife and child.

Sounds like an episode of LAW AND ORDER: SVU.

And, of course, it is.

The Belgian police measured Verlaine’s asshole in an attempt to see if it had been penetrated by Rimbaud.

“Everything we are taught is false.”

Nor is Rimbaud the only one to say that.

“Like the belief of the terminally ill in medicine the belief of the legitimately frightened in the educational process is a comforting lie.”—David Mamet, TRUE AND FALSE.

Told in his youth he would be attracted to young men when he got older Machiavelli laughed loudly.

Then one day he stopped laughing.

Today older men panic when they find themselves attracted to young men.

We are, most of us, at war with who we are because who we are is not what we have been taught we should be.

Warned that Andy Warhol was a predator 19 year old Jean-Michel Basquiat lept into the lion’s lap.

Naturally the work the two created together was denounced as worthless.

People were astonished that Warhol remained a Christian.

How could he not love Christ?

“Your fellow slave to the bitch goddess TRUTH,” writes Emo.

Ain’t that the truth?

“Most teachers say you should go to school to get your degree to have something to fall back on. Aside from being a huge lie, that also creates a very high level of mediocrity, because nobody who really believes that is going to take the leap of faith required to be a serious artist. Stay out of school.”–Ellis Marsalis to his sons Branford, Delfeayo and Wynton.

“You have no need that any man should teach you.”-1 John 2:27.

Matthew 23:8-10 “Call no one teacher. Let no one call you teacher.”

Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Failure to call no one teacher and to let no one call us teacher is a failure of faith.

Writes Mamet, “Invent nothing. Deny nothing., Stand up. Speak up. Stay out of school.”

Edmund White, in his biography of Arthur Rimbaud, wrote, “As a 14 year old homosexual filled with self-hate.”

Those are pregnant words.

Show me the 14 year old not filled with self-hate.

I did meet one. He had been raised by parents who kept him out of school. He arrived here from Texas. Said he’d like to stay for three days. Those days turned into months.  https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2017-05-01/independent-journalist-now-faces-70-years-in-prison-after-inauguration-mass-arresthttps://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/14/business/media/alexei-wood-journalist-trial-inauguration.html , https://www.vice.com/en/article/a-journalist-could-get-60-years-in-prison-for-covering-trump-inauguration-protests/https://www.huffpost.com/entry/alexei-wood-inauguration-trial-journalist-trump_n_5a2f0c39e4b01598ac4761bc  , https://www.huffpost.com/entry/alexei-wood-journalist-inauguration-trial_n_5a27549de4b044d16725bdb8  , https://www.sacurrent.com/news/sa-photojournalist-alexei-wood-on-his-looming-fight-with-the-dc-courts-7425803  ,   https://www.thenation.com/article/society/final-settlements-in-j20-case-seek-to-sanction-state-repression/  , https://truthout.org/video/journalist-alexei-wood-and-first-j20-defendants-found-not-guilty-as-188-still-face-trial/https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2023/04/26/trump-inauguration-day-protests-settlement-journalists-lawsuit/      .

I raise lions.

I was introduced to Rimbaud by a much younger man who tore into my life as Rimbaud had torn into Verlaine’s.

This is the time of the assassins.

America has given a full hand to a man who bankrupted three casinos.

Why has America backed this man?

Because he promises to rid the nation of all the undesirables.

When the Emperor Valerian, after killing Pope Sixtus II, demanded that Saint Lawrence hand over the treasures of the church Lawrence worked swiftly to give the church’s treasures to the undesirables.

Three days later when Valerian demanded, “Lead me to your treasure,” Valerian led him to the slums.

Outraged Valerian had Saint Lawrence roasted alive on a gridiron. After the martyr had suffered pain for a long time, the legend states, he cheerfully declared: “I’m well done on this side. Turn me over!”

That is a helluva thing to remember when people today who stub a toe cry, “Why me, God?”

Andy Warhol arrived in New York an effeminate young man. He was so effeminate that established artists kept their distance for fear he would out them. “I will be ashamed before my father of those who are ashamed of me before men,” said Jesus.

Said Warhol, “I knew if I toned it down I would be accepted but I like who I am.”

Oh, the wonderful strength in those words.

“We have come to hear you talk,”  said two men walked in to see a program. A third man came in behind them.

When the program was over the two left happy while the third stayed.

We spoke together on my porch for hours: https://www.jaysunsilver.com/   .

It used to be when I met young men I would tell them I am queer so that afterwards when some concerned person warned them I was a queer they would know in advance. Now I tell them I was arrested and charged for child porn.

This man said, “I am a journalist. I worked for the New York Times. Right now I’m with CBS NEWS. I researched you before I came here. Everything about this says you are classically innocent.”

“We get three educations. The first is from our parents; the second is from our schoolmasters. The third is from life. The last makes liars of the first two.”–Montesquieu.

Malcolm McDowell when asked if he thought the character he played in CLOCKWORK ORANGE had inspired the student riots in Britain replied, “Are you trying to blame me for that. They went to school on the promise there were jobs at the end. They were lied to. There are no jobs. You are going to find that out here.”

That anger gave a strong hand to a man who, as I said, bankrupted three casinos. Good cards are worthless in the hands of one who does not know how to play them while a weak hand is gold in the hand of one who does. “My grace is sufficient for in your weakness my strength is made perfect.”  (2 Corinthians 12:9 )

He has promised to rid America of the undesirables.

I have always chosen to number myself among the undesirables.

In the Last Judgment we are told the LORD will say to those on his right, “You helped me. Come in.”

They say, “When did we help you?” He replies, “When you helped the least of these my brothers you helped me.”

To those on the left he says, “You passed me by. Go to Hell.” They say, “When did we pass you by?”

THE LORD replies, “When you passed by the least of these undesirables, my brothers, you passed by me.”

Has America chosen the path to Hell?

Not all.

A few have chosen the better path.

Number me proud to be walking with them.

A couple of weeks ago on LAW AND ORDER SVU the show was about young boys put into the custody of the state who were then trapped in a ring of prostitution.

The case I was looking into when the police arrived at my door was of young children in Europe in the 1990s in the custody of the state who were trapped in a ring of child prostitution.

I arrived in Toronto in my teens. The day I arrived it was the dead of winter. I thought I had a friend here. I didn’t.

The man who most helped me had been put to work by his mother when he was 10 as a child prostitute.

When I met him he was teaching emotionally disturbed children.

With a mother like his we either kill our self or become someone incredible.

THE LORD had led me to the one man who could most help me.

Said WIZTHEMC, “GOD led me to Reg Hartt.”

Reginald is a masculine given name in the English language meaning “king“.[1]

Etymology and history

The name Reginald comes from Latin meaning “king” and “ruler” symbolizing authority and leadership.[2] It comes from combining Latin “rex” meaning king and “nald” meaning ruler. The name is derived from Reginaldus which means “king”.[3] This name signifies a ruler or kingly figure, representing authority and leadership. This Latin name is a Latinisation of a Germanic language name. The Germanic name is composed of two elements: the first ragin, meaning “advice”, “counsel”,[4] “decision”;[5] the second element is wald, meaning “rule”,[4] “ruler”.[5] The Old German form of the name is Raginald; Old French forms are Reinald and Reynaud.[6]

Forms of this Germanic name were first brought to the British Isles by Scandinavians, in the form of the Old Norse Rögnvaldr.[citation needed] This name was later reinforced by the arrival of the Normans in the 11th century, in the Norman forms Reinald and Reynaud.[4][citation needed]

The Latin Reginaldus was used as a Latin form of cognate names, such as the Old Norse Rögnvaldr, and the Gaelic Ragnall and Raghnall.[7]
